I'm Chris, a multidisciplinary product designer with 20+ years' experience creating intuitive, scalable and accessible digital products – and the brands and printed materials that support them. I specialise in mobile-first UX/UI, interaction design and design systems, while still being very comfortable in the world of brochures, campaigns, and print-ready artwork.
Throughout my career I've translated complex business and user needs into simple, human-centred solutions – from enterprise intranets and quote engines to responsive websites, HTML email campaigns and legal press adverts. I'm as happy in Figma and design systems as I am in InDesign, Photoshop and preparing artwork for print.
I follow a human-centred design process that starts with understanding user needs through research, discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews. From there I move into information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and usability testing – iterating with product managers and engineers until we land on a solution that works for users and the business.
I bring a rare blend of product-level UX thinking, front-end understanding, and deep visual design craft. I've led end-to-end UX for core digital tools, reduced developer rework, sped up release cycles, and maintained cohesive brand identities across both digital and print touchpoints.
Beyond design, I'm a father of three and a lifelong musician – lead guitarist in an 80s rock tribute band and a keen home-studio producer. Two decades of working with rhythm, sound design and storytelling through music deeply influence how I approach product design: I aim to build systems and tools that not only function beautifully, but also feel cohesive, expressive and emotionally resonant.
